Deworming Your Horse

Deworming your horse is not as easy as it used to be! We used to rotate dewormers all year long. This has caused resistance in the worms that we treat and made many of our treatments ineffective. The current recommendations are to deworm on an individual basis and by season based on region. The intestinal parasites that we treat in horses are most active and infective during the fall, winter and early spring months in our area.
